Genevieve Keller passed away peacefully in her sleep with her daughter by her side, at the age of 92. She was a treasured wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her, and she will live in our hearts forever.
Gen was born on Nov. 25, 1925, in Dickinson, North Dakota, the daughter of Martin Hegel and Rosalia lhly. Her family moved to Fromberg when she was a young girl. After she graduated from Fromberg High School, she attended Billings Business College and worked in the banking industry and S & H Green Stamp.
She married Michael Keller on Feb 15, 1947. They enjoyed their time together. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, sewing, baking, and playing cards with family and friends, especially her pinochle groups.
Gen is survived by her daughter, Sue (Larry) Brensdal of Billings; grandchildren Kristyn (Bill) Remington of Wisconsin, Stacy Brensdal of Billings, Randal (Haley) Brensdal of Billings; and her great-grandkids, Amber Remington, Bryan Brensdal, Jake Remington, Camlyn Brensdal, Emree Brensdal and Parrin Brensdal.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael; daughter Diana Wells; son Mike Keller; sisters Madge Shepard, Rose Sticka, Elizabeth Steffan, Katherine Giest, Veronica Hall, Mary Schwalger; and brother Martin Hegel.
Cremation has taken place. Vigil service will be 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at St. Bernard's Parish, 226 Wicks Lane. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at St. Bernard's Parish, with rite of committal at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Memorials and Mass Offerings may be shared with the family.
