Georgiana Beth Fischer, 67, of Billings, passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by special friends and family, on March 3, 2018.
Georgie was born on December 8, 1950, in Dickinson, ND, to George and Elizabeth (Maslowski) Dutchak. She was raised in Belfield, ND, graduating from high school in 1968. She married James Fischer in Belfield on September 21 of that year. They moved to Laurel shortly after for Jim's job with the railroad. They made their final move to Billings in 1972.
Georgian and Jim were blessed with three children: Lynn, Lony and Leslie. Once her children were grown, Georgie went to work at Newman School, assisting with the lunch program. She also assisted her aunt at B.Y.O. Laundry. Georgiana and Jim previously attended Little Flower Church and currently attend St. Thomas the Apostle Church. She enjoyed crafting and traveling the country together as a family. She loved camping with family and friends. Her weekends many times included a garage sale or two, and she was known for the great bargains she could get with a coupon. Georgie was always willing to lend a hand to those who needed help.
Her family was her world. George was so proud of her grandchildren. She loved picking them up from school and cherished the nights they would spend at Grandma and Grandpa's. Grandma treasured the times when all her grandchildren were together. She was always willing to support her kids and grandkids at any sporting event, no matter the weather conditions. Numerous special weekends included time with her mom, close relatives and the Gallaghers.
Georgian is survived by her husband, Jim Fischer of Billings; children Lynn (Rich) Pauley of Billings, Lony (Marie) of Paris, France, and Les of Billings; grandchildren James and Elizabeth Pauley, Nicolas, Lucas and Evan Fischer; siblings Terry Dutchak, Clem Dutchak, Rosie Hurt and Paulette Dutchak; her mother, Elizabeth Dutchak.
She was preceded in death by her father, George; and siblings Arnold and Sebastian Dutchak and Marcella Haworth.
She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
