Our beloved mother and grandmother, Gertrude Louise Martinez Herman 70, slipped away while surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, January 8, 2012. She started her beautiful life on February 17, 1941 born to Don and Faith Armfield in Council, Idaho.

Gertie started one of many adventures in Billings, MT where she and Bob raised three children with everlasting love. She had a huge heart and even bigger shoulders taking on the worries of anyone that needed a caring ear and a huge comforting hug. She had an amazing way of making you feel like you were the most special person in the world, our smallest accomplishments were her proudest moments. Her beautiful smile and wonderful laughter was contagious to anyone lucky enough to know her. Her greatest desire was keeping her family connected, always reminding one-another to stay in touch and to eat!!!

Gertie shared a love for many things. She loved to dance. Waking up in the morning to play and share her favorite music, especially Elvis! She had a passion for gardening and baking. She was known throughout Billings for "Gerties Goodies" while baking at Café Jones; a talent she passed on to her granddaughters. Her greatest love of all was her family.

Gertie is survived by the father of their children Bob; son Bobby his wife Phylis; daughters Becky and her husband Andy, Cheryl and her husband Michael; Grandchildren, Misty, Tomi, Cory, Joey, Jamie, Tonya, Jonathan, Jade and Madison; Great grandchildren, Alauna, Mia, Zoey, Alleighizah, Alias, Sydney Mykala, Ethan, Chase; her mother Faith; brothers Leo and Mike and sisters Beatrice and Dixie.

Mom we will love and miss you more than you will ever know, you are our hearts!! Delores have the coffee waiting!!
