Gillian Marie Brown

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Gillian Marie Brown, 31, beloved daughter and sister, passed away on June 17, 2018 in Minneapolis.

Born on June 4, 1987, in Plentywood, Gillian was adopted five days later by the Brown family. She brought so much joy to our lives and graced all who knew her with a smile. Gillian grew to be a sensitive and caring young woman for whom life's hardships were often overwhelming. For relief from her struggles, she found solace in music and cooking. She was an accomplished violinist and her family will never forget how beautifully she could play the "Meditation" from Jules Massenet's opera "Thais." She was a wonderful cook and could make an everyday meal sing with deft culinary touches. The city of Barcelona, experienced on a Christmas vacation in 2014, held a special place in her heart. She loved Ireland and visited the island several times with her family. On her final visit, she was proud to serve as the maid of honor at her sister's wedding.

Gillian is now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She will be deeply missed by her parents, Roy Sr., Kimberly; siblings Katie and Roy Jr.; brother-in-law Ronan and future sister-in-law Aislinn; and by all of her extended family and friends.

There will be a vigil at 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave. The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 25, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 2055 Woody Drive in Billings. Interment will follow immediately after the funeral Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery.
