Glorene DeBockGlorene Beck DeBock, 90, of Columbus, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2006, at the Beartooth Manor, in Columbus. Glorene was born September 22, 1915, at the family farm in Jefferson, OK, the daughter of Lulu and Don Beck.

Glorene attended Kansas State College, where she received her teaching certificate. She taught school for several years in Kansas. Glorene moved to Montana in 1945. She taught school for four years in Columbus, before moving to Bozeman. She received a Master's of Education from MSU. She taught English in Bozeman until her retirement in 1974.

Glorene was a very talented and creative person. She enjoyed performing in community theater, and was always busy with her art-painting, crafts, and ceramics. She spent many hours with her granddaughters, teaching them to play cards, and taking them on picnics and trips to Virginia City and Crystal Mountain.

In 1998, Glorene moved back to Columbus to be closer to her son and his family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lulu and Don Beck. Glorene is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Judie DeBock of Columbus; her granddaughters, Pam (Rob) Aumueller of Columbus, Teresa DeBock of Seattle, and Michelle DeBock of Australia. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Ashtyn and Jace Aumueller.

Michelotti-Sawyers is in charge of arrangements. Cremation has taken place. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 19, 2006, at the Congregational Church in Columbus. Burial will take place in a private family ceremony, to be held at a later date.
