Harold K. Risser, 80, of Park City, died of natural causes at his home on Feb 23, 2012. He was born May 3, 1931 to Mary and Harold Risser Sr. in Valley City, ND.
When only 17, Harold joined the Army National Guard and proudly served with the 164th Infantry out of Valley City, ND.
At the age of 24, Harold married the love of his life–Doloris Anderson. Together they made a great life with seven children: Steve-Oaks, ND, Gerene and Ellie (Pete) of Bozeman; Teresa (Barry) of Bismark ND; Dawn (Steve) of Helena; Brian (Belinda) and Chris (Barb) of Billings. Harold loved his family, his many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Spending time with family brought him great joy.
Harold was a heavy equipment operator. He worked for Barnes County, ND; worked in Glendive for Dawson County, and later retired from Western Energy Coal Mine in Colstrip.
Harold loved to fish, camp, hunt, golf, play pinochle and later tell stories about his escapades. The Green Bay Packers have lost one of their biggest fans.
Wife Doloris, brothers Clarence and Chuck, and his parents preceded Harold in death. He is survived by brothers Darrell and Donnie, his children, their families, many in-laws and friends.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Park City Emergency Medical Service, Park City MT.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, Feb 28th with at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary.
