Helen Dartman Browne

Helen Dartman Browne, 89 of Billings, passed away on April 21, 2009. She was born in Hinsdale, Montana on February 6, 1920, the third of ten children born to John and Ella Dartman.
Helen worked for the Postal Department in Washington, D.C, Seattle, WA, and the Postal Inspection Service in Billings, Montana, retiring in July, 1980 after 29 years of service.
Helen married Jack Browne on May 16, 1943 and together they had two children, Michael and Patti.
Helen's husband, parents, two brothers, and four sisters preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Michael, his wife, Rita, and their three children, Michael, Lindsey and Kimberly; and her daughter, Patti, her husband, Scott, and their three children, Mitch, Casey and Jaclyn. Helen is also survived by a brother, Tom, of Helena, and sisters Jackie, of Helena, and Beverly, of Great Falls.
The family would like to thank the 3 Fortin nursing staff at St. Vincent Healthcare and her personal physicians for their kindness and thoughtfulness.
Cremation has taken place. Honoring her request, no funeral will be held. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
