Heleyn Kaufman passed away on June 10, 2019. She lived well, enjoying a long career in banking, travel, and family.
Born in Butte, Montana, on Oct. 3, 1927, she married Jim Kaufman on Thanksgiving Day, 1946, in Butte. After Jim was transferred to Billings, she began working in banking, where she rose to the position of vice president. Heleyn and Jim enjoyed traveling and spent many winters in Hawaii during their retirement. Because they enjoyed gatherings of family, they invited relatives to visit on vacations.
Heleyn was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Elsie Miller; her sister and twin brother; her husband, Jim; and her son and daughter Greg and Cynde. She is survived by daughters Linda and Terri; grandchildren Tee Jay Hert, Kirsten, Sarah and Gus (Tori) Kaufman, and Derek (Marika) Grimm; and by great-grandchildren Damien, Tatum, Khloe and Ledger.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 14, at Michelotti-Sawyer Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave., in Billings.
