Homer Tell Runkle, 82, died August 27, 2015, at his home. Homer was born December 16, 1932 in Straban Township, Adams County Pennsylvania to Elizabeth Seylar. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Army. While traveling cross-country for a deployment to Korea, he met the love of his life, Beverly. Upon returning, they married in 1954, and began a union that lasted 56 years.
Homer enjoyed golf, reading, gardening, and coffee with his friends. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
Homer is survived by his sons Michael, Timothy (Susan), Robert (Nancy); daughter Theresa; grandsons Nathan and Joshua (Ashley) Runkle, Sister Mary (Don) Little; and his niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Beverly and his mother Elizabeth.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held Thursday, September 3, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Avenue at 11am. Internment will follow at the Yellowstone National Cemetery, 55 Buffalo Trail Road Laurel, MT 59044.
