Ida JoAn Seaman began her new journey with the Lord on July 1, 2016, after a short illness. Mom was born in Mildred, Mont., on March 10, 1928, to Waldo and Sadie Clark, by a midwife. She grew up in Mildred along with her siblings Mary Barnes (Earl), John (Laura) and Joyce Thompson (Al).
She graduated from Mildred High School, went to Billings Business College and graduated from there. She had various jobs until she met the love of her life, John Seaman, while working at Midland Implement in Billings.
They started their life together on Aug. 20, 1949, and were blessed with three children: Nancy Brook (Gary), Sally Huffard (Greg) and Lee (Michele). They moved their family in 1960 to Edgar, and lived there for 52 years. Over the years, their family grew to 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Besides being a bookkeeper, she loved her church, playing the piano and organ. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, a good game of cards, and was an avid reader. Mom especially enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. Goodbye, Mom, Grandma and dear friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband John - died in 2009; one grandson Jason Munro - died 1991. The family wishes to thank the wonderful people at Mission Ridge, St V's third floor staff and Rocky Mountain Hospice.
Cremation has already taken place. The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 11, at the chapel at Mission Ridge, 3840 Rimrock Road, Billings.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Edgar Fire Department, Rocky Mountain Hospice or a charity of your choice.
