In Memory Of Verna M Ruff

Verna M (Barr) Ruff was born to John and Minerva Barr, Sept. 12, 1938, in Columbus. She graduated from Absarokee High in 1956.

Dick and Verna were married Oct. 24, 1958, in the Congregational Church in Absarokee, and the journey began. We were blessed with twins on May 20, 1961: Randy from Bonner and Nancy from Billings. We have four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Verna and Dick were inseparable, doing everything together. Verna and I did many things in the time we shared. She loved to travel, and we spent 17 years in Arizona in the winters. She loved to camp, hunt and fish. Verna had many hobbies: sewing, knitting and crocheting. She made doll clothes, baby blankets, sweaters, slippers, dish rags and hand towels, etc.

Verna was killed in a car accident on Aug. 26, 2017. She is with the Lord now. She will be missed dearly.

Survivors include: husband Richard; son Randy (Carrie); daughter Nancy; sister Dolly Krug; brother-in-law Jerry (Kathy), half-brother Mike (Tere); half-sister Karin (Barry); four grandchildren, Quinesha, Kevin, Jacob and Nathan; and four great-grandchildren, Nathan, Tremaine, Aundre and Tyler; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave. A light snack will be served.
