Irene Fisher

Our beloved mom, Irene Fisher, died April 10, 2015 at age 87. Born in Heil, ND, to Emil and Christina Wuest, October 15, 1927, she married Stan Fisher on November 10, 1945, after graduation from Huntley Project High School. Irene was predeceased by her husband, her son John, 2 grandsons and her 6 siblings. Surviving her are 4 children: Sharon (Gus) Gerhardt, Bob (Kea), Don (Susan) and Carol (Tim Mack) Brumfield, 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Irene was feisty, forthright and spirited, loved to tell jokes (some off-color!), had a great sense of humor and was a wonderful cook. You never left her house empty handed, and her family meant everything to her. Her great grandchildren called her "Grandma Great", which she was.

Besides being mother, a helpmate to Stan on their ranches at Worden, Silesia and Fox and co-owner of Fisher Water Service, she was active in DOES, enjoyed painting ceramics, sewing, square dancing, bowling, playing cards, socializing and being a campground host.

Funeral services will be at 11 am Tuesday, April 14th at Bethlehem Congregational Church on Main Street in Worden, MT, with interment at Pleasantview Cemetery.
