Irwin Leroy Humphrey

Dad was born in Granby, CT, on June 11, 1936, to Frances Hurd and Charles Andrew Humphrey. With his family by his side, Dad went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ  on Dec. 8, 2018.

Upon graduation, he joined the Navy in 1954 and was honorably discharged in 1958. He moved to Billings, where he met and married his wife, Alberta Berry Humphrey. They enjoyed 59 years together. To this union, Dad and Mom had four children: Steve, Dwight, Cheryl and Kevin. They were blessed with 12 grandchildren: Sarah, Derek, Ruth, Mary, Dexter, Josiah, Myles, Braxton, Jenna, Jayda, Emilyann and Charlette; and four great-grandchildren: Gabe, Callie, Sonja and Henry.

Dad worked for Frontier Airlines for 28 years. After leaving Frontier Airlines, he worked at Western Airlines, Delta Airlines and School District 2 until his retirement on June 30, 2016.

Serving God was a big part of Dad's life through Billings Bible Church and later through Emmanuel Baptist Church. He loved taking the family to Clydehurst Christian Ranch and going on family camping trips. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and taking them camping and fishing.

Dad was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother Andy, sister Marcella and grandson Jake. He is survived by his sister Lorraine and his brother Ronnie.

A celebration of Dad's life will be held at a later date.
