A very precious and special mother passed away Tuesday, September 12th, 2006. Mom was a good-hearted and unselfish lady, who touched and deeply affected the lives of everyone who met her.
In Pueblo, Colorado, Isabell Davis was born on March 30th, 1921, to Charles and Violet Mueller. She married Robert E. Davis on October 30th, 1940; and from that union, six children were born.
In her retirement years, Mom enjoyed helping children in the various schools in Billings through the Foster Grandparent Program. She was lovingly known to many children as “Grandma Davis.” In 1997 she was honored as an “Unsung Hero” by KULR 8 News.
Mom liked picnics, tending to her flower garden, crocheting, quilting, and sewing. As a member of the United Pentecostal Church, she derived joy from the worship, singing and praise services.
Survivors are Robert E. Davis Jr. and his wife Carol of Longmont, Colorado; Grace Sorensen and her husband Don of Laughlin, Nevada; Susan Davis of Billings, Montana; Gene Davis and his wife Maureen of Johnstown, Colorado; Vickie Davis of Billings, Montana; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Thanks to all who cared for Mom at St. Vincent’s Hospital. The family appreciates the special attention given to her.
We love and miss you, Mom! We’re looking forward to seeing you again, and OH WHAT A DAY THAT WILL BE!!
