Janet Mary Lillis

Janet Mary Lillis was born to Neil and Mary McLeod in Butte Montana April 21, 1921. She passed away peacefully October 11, 2015.
Janet was a graduate of Butte High School in 1939. She then attended Western Montana College in Dillon. After raising her four children in Billings she completed her education at Eastern Montana College with a degree in education. She went on to teach second grade at Grand Avenue and Rose Park schools.
After retiring from teaching she became a volunteer at Deaconess Hospital. Her volunteer work was a source of great pleasure. Janet was also a member of PEO Chapter E.
Janet was a loving mother to her four children. She was pre deceased by daughter Kathleen Jean Lillis. Her survivors include son Ken Lillis (Sally) of Palo Alto CA, daughter Leone Fowler (Wayne) of Santa Rosa CA, son Don (Sheila) of Billings, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Mom spent her final years at St John's Lutheran home in the Rimview square wing.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Rimview square for providing such excellent care.
Memorials may be made to the Adult Resource Alliance at 1505 Avenue D for the meals on wheels program.
Graveside services will be held Saturday October 17 at 1:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
