Janice Salsbury passed away on April 5, 2012, in Federal Heights, Colo. She was born May 30, 1927, in Milo, Iowa, to Ernest and Mildred Chrestenson. She grew up in Anaconda.

Janice earned a bachelor of science degree from MSU and a master's of science degree in special education from Eastern Montana College, followed by a doctor's of education in adult guidance and counseling from MSU. She worked as a seventh grade science teacher in Billings schools, and as a Special Ed teacher at Billings Senior High sheltered workshops before she retired from teaching.

On July 9, 1949, she married Frank Allen Salsbury. To this union, two daughters were born: Luann Hanser (Stephen) and Dianna Zamora (Patrick). Frank preceded Janice in death in May 1991.

A member of the Daughters of the Nile and the Order of Eastern Star - Moss Agate Chapter 126, Janice enjoyed traveling with her family. She really liked going camping and fishing, and her cats went camping with her. What a joy she was!

She is survived by her daughters and their spouses; grandchildren Mike Egge and his children KC, Ashton and Kaitlyn, Tabatha Salsbury, Spencer Salsbury Schroeder, and Christina (Matthew) Warren and their children Andrew and Danika.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, at St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Billings.

Memorials may be made to Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital or Shriner's Burn Hospitals.
