Beloved son, husband, father, grandfather and grandson, Jay passed away on Oct. 18, 2016, from complications following a severe asthma attack at his home in Roundup.
Jay was born in Butte on June 29, 1976, and graduated from Billings Senior High School in 1995.
Jay loved his rustic life in Roundup, especially his new marriage to the love of his life, Karrie, and their country-style home in the beautiful Bull Mountain hills.
Our hearts are broken, yet we have faith that he is beyond the trials and pain of life on earth. His children agree that he was a father who worked hard, loved them and had a heart of gold. To all of his family, he will be missed beyond measure.
Jay is survived by his wife, Karrie J. Solari; his parents, Andy and Lezlie Solari; children Destiny and Rod Williams, Nicholas J Solari, Isabella J Solari; and his stepdaughter, McKayla Metcalf; grandson Jameson Todd Williams; grandmother Leona N. Robertson of Malta; mother-in-law Sandy Brant and brother-in-law Pat Jenks.
Jay was known as "the Dog Whisperer." He had a lifelong love and affinity for canines, especially, but also for many other animals. Therefore, the family asks that any memorial be made to Claire's Canine Fund, a special account set up at Grand Avenue Animal Hospital in Billings to help needy pets (c/o Dr. Sioux Stevens, 2932 Grand Ave., Billings, MT 59102).
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 24, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave.
