On Monday, Dec.12, 2022, Jeanette Davis, beloved grandmother, mother and friend, passed away at the age of 82, after a short battle with cancer.

Jeanette was born on June 12, 1940, in the state of Washington to Helen and Louis Menegas. After attending Holy Names Private Girls Academy, she embarked on the path to becoming a nun. She ultimately chose to alter her life’s course.

Eventually, Jeanette moved to Billings, where she pursued a teaching degree at Rocky Mountain College and started a family. She’s been an upstanding member of the Billings community for over 50 years.

She was best known to her friends and family for her poise and strength, as well as the fierceness with which she loved her family. In her free time, she enjoyed her regular coffee chats with her daughter, Nikki, which they’ve done for decades, as well as visits from her grandchildren. Over the years, she developed close, personal relationships with her neighbors, including the Mason family. She welcomed a number of pets to her home throughout her life including her dog, Sam Baker, and her cats, Bonnie, Clyde, Luke and Opie.

Above all, she was an inspiration to her family for her love, warmth, and devotion. Her presence was a gift to all that knew her as is her memory.

Jeanette leaves behind so many who loved her and will miss her dearly. This includes her daughter and son-in-law, Nikki and Jerry Fink; her grandchildren, Kody and Marilyn Mills, and Madisen and Kody Cameron; and her beloved cat, Opie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Louis Menegas; and her brother, Larry.

As a woman of faith, Jeanette wished to have her memory honored with a mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
