Jeffrey “Jeff” Harold Boschee was born on Sept. 19, 1955, to Harold and Lorraine Boschee, as their second child of four, in Forsyth. He graduated from Forsyth High School in 1973.
Jeff started at Eastern Montana College, graduating in 1977 with a degree in high school English and a minor in Theater Arts. He continued to live in Billings, working various jobs, but always remained active in theater, whether at Der Swartzvold out on Pryor Creek or Billings Studio Theatre. He took a position as BST doing lights and building sets, along with occasional acting and directing (and whatever was needed) in 1989.
Jeff appeared in “Heartland” in 1979, a movie filmed in Montana, playing a clerk in the land board office. He also was in several commercials and worked with many performers as a “roadie” when scheduled nearby. He talked about working with Hank Williams Jr., Anne Murray and more at the Alberta Bair Theater.
Theater was definitely his niche.
Jeff passed away on Dec. 4, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents; a stillborn sister, Marcia; and a brother, Thomas Alan. He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Kelly and Sam Young; nephew Derek M. (Amber) Young and children Aubree, Mason and Xayden; numerous cousins and many close friends.
Thank you to Pastor McCall for all his help and support, and to the staff at Compassus and St. V’s.
