Jeffrey James Grenfell, born Dec. 26, 1969, in Iron Mountain, Michigan, to Tom and Irene Grenfell, went to be with Jesus and the angels on Aug. 23, 2017.

Jeff grew up in Michigan and, shortly after high school, moved to Montana to be with his sister and her family. He loved his nieces very much.

When Jeff was small, he enjoyed fishing with Dad and learning from his dad. Jeff would get a toy and tear it apart to see how it worked. His parents would get so mad at him, thinking he ruined his brand new toy, but he would put it back together like, "what's wrong? I just wanted to know how it worked." Because of that, Jeff could build anything. He built his own 4×4 El Camino and loved playing in the mud with it. He loved his RC cars and boats. Jeff loved playing and showing them off with his friends, teaching them how to soup them up to go faster! Jeff loved cars so much he always had at least four of them. One included a 1983 Monte Carlo from his dad. He put a 455 rocket in it. It had to go faster than anyone's. His other baby was his Corvette. He loved driving around with the top down.

Jeff installed flooring for most of his life. He was good at it and took great pride in the work he did. he got his name, "Golden Boy," from his coworkers, and loved it.

Jeff was always there to help his sister, whether at home or in her tanning and hair salon, whether it was to hang cabinets, install new floors, fix tanning beds, hair drains or the girls' straight irons. He was there and will be missed by everyone at the salon.

Jeff had a dog named D.O.G. for over 17 years, whom he loved very much. They were always together. Jeff never married, but did have a daughter, "Dezzie," he loved very much.

Jeff is preceded in death by his dog, D.O.G. and Bandit, as well as his mother.

Jeff is survived by his daughter, Deziree; father Tom (Kay); sister Julie (Mark); nieces Keshia and family, Whitney and family; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, at Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park.
