John D. Buck

John D. Buck, 72, was born in Sistersville, West Virginia, on Nov. 23, 1950. He passed away Nov. 25, 2022, in Billings.
John graduated from Sisterville High School in 1969 and from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh with an associate’s degree in Interior Design. John was creative and talented. He worked for Neiman Marcus in Dallas, Texas, and was a general manager for Williams Sonoma in Atlanta, Georgia, and Miami, Florida.
He made the decision to live closer to family and moved to Billings in 2005. He worked at Gainan’s in Billings until he retired. He loved his time there, and made many friends with staff and customers.
John spent his last few years enjoying the beauty of Montana and fishing in Alaska.
He is survived by his sister, Leslie B. Carse, and her husband Craig W. Carse in Billings; brothers Paul M. Buck and his wife Carol in New Martinsville, West Virginia, and David T. Buck, his wife Michele and nieces Kayleigh and Lily in Issaquah, Washington. He also had a nephew, David C. Carse and his wife Erin and grandnephew Cash and grandniece Harper in Columbus, and a niece, Lindsey A. Carse in Malibu, California.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Relay For Life – The American Cancer Society.
A celebration of life will be held in West Virginia in May 2023.
