Jon I. Harpole suddenly passed away on Friday, Sept. 27, 2019, at St. Vincent Healthcare, of a massive heart attack.
Jon was born on Oct. 25, 1974, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to John Girardi and Louise Dorthy Kaleikula Harpole. He was the youngest of five siblings. At the age of 6, Jon and family moved to Lindell, Texas, where Jon completed his education, graduating in 1993. At the age of 18, he enlisted in the service for 16 years. Jon enjoyed all sports, especially watching his Dallas Cowboys football team, which got him a lot of teasing from friends and family. Jon was an extremely hard worker, starting out at the Holiday Inn, moving on to the Springs Retirement Center, Montana Sprinkler, and his last job with his Professional Management family.
Jon is survived by the love of his life, Mari Johnson; his daughters, Torre Harpole, Kayla Harpole and Jayla Harpole, and Georgiana Johnson and Eternily Belcourt; his sons, Jonathan Harpole, Dalles Harpole and Gabriel Johnson. Jon is also survived by his brother, Freddie Harpole and Debbie Harpole. He is joined in heaven with his parents, his sister Donna, and two brothers, Isaac and Tob Harpole. The family he leaves behind also includes his mother-in-law Kim Hirt; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; his best friend of 25 years, Johnathan Bass, who always beat him in golf; and his aunts and uncles and Grandma Betty from his God-given family.
Jon's last words to his mother-in-law and Mari were "tell my children I love them" as he took his last breath.
Jon was loved by everyone who crossed his path.
We will miss you so much. We love you.
Services will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave. A reception will follow at the VFW Post 6774, 637 Anchor Ave.
