Judy Yvonne Robinson, age 75, passed away peacefully at her home in Billings, Montana, on November 9, 2015. Judy had a kind, compassionate, caring spirit, and will missed by every life she touched.
Judy was born on April 25, 1940, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to loving and devoted parents, Bernice Bunday and Francis Kissinger. She was the eldest of three siblings: Roger, John and Brenda. Judy spent most of her early years hanging out at the Kissinger farm riding her horse Rusty. She also loved attending weekend dances with her Grandma. Those times with her Grandma would be the start of her lifelong passion for dance and music. Judy married her first husband and gave birth to two beautiful children. Being a mother and caregiver came naturally to Judy and family was her top priority.
On July 31, 1969, Judy married the love of her life, Charles "Red" Robinson and received the gift of four more children. Red and Judy were married 44 years until Red’s passing in 2013. Judy loved the Billings area and was involved in many dance organizations, including: Jana Shiner Dance, The Golden Dancers and Yellowstone Ballroom Dance Club.
Judy loved life and handled difficulties with grace and elegance. She was strong and selfless, always putting others' needs above her own. People were drawn to Judy’s warmth, and strangers became instant friends when Judy smiled or extended a hug. She was a beautiful wife, loving mother, devoted grand-mother and steadfast friend. Earth has one gentle soul less, and heaven, one angel more.
Judy is survived by daughters, Barbara Robinson, Geri Robinson, Tracy Robinson, Chris Lee (husband Rich) and Sandy Robinson (husband Doug); sister, Brenda Orr and brother, John Bunday; brother-in-law, George Robinson and wife Ann; sisters-in-law, Madeline and Joan Robinson; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by husband, Charles Robinson and son, Rick Robinson; mother, Bernice Bunday and father Francis Kissinger; brother, Roger Bunday; and brothers-in-law, Robert and Mike Robinson.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 28, at Michelotti-Sawyers, followed by a reception at the Elks. Special thanks to all of Judy’s friends and family for their love and support. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
