Kaden Ryan Hafer

Kaden Ryan Hafer left us way too soon on March 10, 2017. He touched so many lives in so many ways in his short time with us. Kaden was a kind, caring and loving soul who easily made friends with anyone, anywhere. His brilliant imagination helped him create amazing stories and beautiful artwork. He always loved making you laugh with his quick-witted humor and storytelling.

Kaden enjoyed reading, movies, comics, music, and he loved his video games. He had a newfound love for karate, and was so proud to have recently earned his white belt. Family time was one of Kaden's favorite things, whether it was playing games, camping, building Legos, hunting or just talking, and his love for his animals was endlessly abundant.

Kaden was our sweet, yet troubled, little angel. Although he was often a light in the darkness, he struggled with darkness of his own. In Kaden's honor, we extend our ears and shoulders to anyone who is hurting. Depression is a crippling disorder that shouldn't be ignored, and we are here for those in need.

Kaden, you might not remember, but before you were born, you could fly. You will once again in this life or after you die. But you can learn to do it here, but yet you must cast away your fear and just go fly.

Kaden is survived by his parents, Christian and Sara Hafer, and John Brook II; his Grammy, Anell Johnson; grandparents Ron and Carol Boen; and Gramma Kim; great-grandparents Marland and Jeananne Johnson; great-grandma Darlene Bernsdorf; Aunt Alison (Mikey) Gandolfo; Uncle Ryon (Kristen) Boen and cousins Becca, Josh and Matthew; great-uncle Craig (Alison) Johnson; along with honorary aunts and uncles, Nikki, Rick, Chrissy, Erik, Morgan, Alex, Zakariah and Zachary.

We will have a memorial to remember sweet Kaden at 3 p.m. Friday, March 17, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave. Immediately following will be a celebration of Kaden's Life at The Knights of Columbus, 2216 Grand Ave.
