Karen Renne (Jonas) Brewer was born on June 4, 1957, in Billings, to Marcus Jonas Jr. and Loretta Jonas (Hankel). She passed away on Aug. 11, 2018, at 61 years old.
Karen was the middle child of two sisters, Marjean Charles and Denise Clausen. They have cherished memories of camping as young girls and especially loved the Stillwater River camping trips with family at Fireman’s Point. She graduated from Billings West High School in 1975.
Following high school, she married Seth Weston Jr. and had three sons: Seth, Sean and Marcus. Karen spent most of her 20s and 30s working from home as a cake decorator. She was at her happiest working in the kitchen creating amazing cakes. When not baking, you could find Karen busy painting decorative wood crafts.
She adored her three boys and could not have been more proud of them. If you found yourself in conversation with Karen, you would inevitably hear about her sons, regardless of whether you wanted to or not. She was also a very proud grandmother of her two granddaughters, Olivia and Rory.
Karen always had a desire to help people. She recently began a job providing home aid to people with disabilities. She was quite proud of her new job and enjoyed it immensely.
Karen was preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by her sisters, sons, two granddaughters, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, at Cornerstone Church, 4525 Grand Ave. Cremation has taken place.
