Katharine Lloyd Mckibbin

Katharine "Kathy" Lloyd McKibbin, of Billings, died peacefully at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, surrounded by her family, on June 13, 2019.

Kathy was born in Billings on Aug. 30, 1961. he graduated from Billings Senior High School in 1979 and from Eastern Montana College in 1984 with a bachelor's degree in accounting.

She moved to Denver to work for the IRS and met the love of her life, Kenneth McKibbin, shortly after moving to Colorado. After a few years, they moved to California and were married in Las Vegas on June 10, 1989. Kathy was working as a CPA and Ken as an Electrician. On June 23, 1997, Kathy and Ken welcomed their only child, Jonathon McKibbin, into the world. He is and always will be everything to the both of them. After Ken's death in 2003, Kathy and Jonny moved back to Billings to be close to family, where Kathy started working for Rocky Mountain College as an accountant. Kathy and Jonny also both became active members at American Lutheran shortly after their move back to Billings.

Kathy loved to read, do needlepoint and sewing, and was someone you could always count on in times of need. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Kathy is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth McKibbin, and her sister, Teresa Lloyd.

Kathy is survived by her son, Jonathon McKibbin (Amber); her granddaughter, Violet McKibbin; her parents, Elmer and Karen Lloyd; and her siblings, Doug Lloyd, Kevin Lloyd, Michelle Burtell and Barbara Sadowski.

Memorial Services will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at American Lutheran Church, 5 Lewis Ave., Billings, MT 59101. Cake and coffee will be served after services.
