On Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, Kermit A. Fladland passed away from complications due to a tragic car accident.

Kermit is survived by his wife, Juanita Fladland of Billings; a daughter, Kathy (Chuck) Leikam of Billings and son Kip (Missy) Fladland of Griswold, Iowa; a stepson, Nathan (Barb) Green of Billings; three sisters, Earleen Jacoby, Ardith Runck and Verdeen Kirkhoven; two grandsons, Charlie Jr. and Brandon Leikam; and two step-grandsons, Andrew and Anthony Green.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Gertrude Fladland of Columbus.

Kermit was born in Detroit Lakes, Minn., on April 8, 1942. At the age of 12, he and the family moved to Columbus. After graduating from Columbus High School in 1960, he moved to Harlowton to work at A.G. Grocery Store. In 1963, he married Myrtle Camp. They later divorced.

In 1965, he moved the family to Billings. Kermit worked at Midland Packing for 19 years. He bought and sold cattle for several years and then sold fasteners for Lawson Products Inc. As of late, he and his wife Joni, whom he married in September of 1994, owned and operated "Joni's Pilot Car Service."

Kermit loved riding horses and particularly while he hunted big game with special riding friends.

Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church at 537 Grand Ave., at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14, with a luncheon reception to follow. He will then be buried at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 1721 Central Ave.
