LaDeen Marie Pickett (Kopp), 65, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Diagnosed in December 2019, she had been receiving chemotherapy treatments for Primary Central Nervous System Lymphoma.

LaDeen was born in Mandan, North Dakota, on March 11, 1954. In 1956, LaDeen's parents, Clement Eugene Kopp and Agnes Rose Kopp (Geiger), relocated to Billings. Although the family relocated to Billings, they made annual trips to Mandan and Bismarck.

LaDeen graduated from Billings West High School in 1972. Her working career included: Dekalb, PAYS Auction Yard, North Star Auto Body, Western Film Service and Fireside Lanes. While working at North Star Auto Body, she met her husband, Mike Pickett. They married in June of 1983. Their first daughter, Jessica was born in September of 1985, followed by Eva in January of 1992.

On Nov. 4, 2016, she became a grandmother, with the birth of Elena Rose Castro. Her second grandchild, Gabriel Eugene Castro, arrived on March 4, 2019. LaDeen was affectionately devoted to her grandchildren.

A few of LaDeen's favorite hobbies included: bowling, quilting, working in her yard, reading countless books and playing with the grandkids. She bowled regularly on a bowling league for over 30 years. In 2014, she was awarded Secretary of the Year for the Greater Yellowstone Valley United States Bowling Congress Association. She donated many quilts to various organizations; sharing her passion for quilting and sewing with others.

LaDeen was an amazingly caring, nurturing, dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her husband, Mike Pickett; daughters Jessica Castro and Eva Pickett; son-in-law Mike Castro; and grandchildren Elena Rose Castro and Gabriel Eugene Castro; her two sisters, Kim Mueller and Mary (Dan) Arredondo; niece Adriane Arredondo; and nephew Patrick Mueller.

She is preceded in death by her parents Clem and Agnes Kopp, in-laws Jim and Margaret Pickett, and sister-in-law Janie Pickett.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 12, with vigil following at 7 p.m., at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 13, at St. Pius X Church, 717 18th St. West.
