Larry Ketterling

Larry Ketterling, 7o, of Billings passed away on May 4, 2016 in Billings. He was born December 22, 1945 to parents John and Lydia (Heitz) Ketterling. Larry was a long haul truck driver for 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, visiting with family and friends and playing chess with his sons. Larry spent three years in the Marine Corps in Barstow, CA where he met Gin at a USO dance. They were married for 49 years. Larry is survived by his wife Virginia (Gin) O'Leary Ketterling; sons Chris of Germany, Jeff (Lena) of Washington D.C., and Dan (Jenny) of Worland; seven grandchildren Tim, Tony, Sean, C J, Kendra, Dillon and Collin; siblings Harley, Grace, Virginia (Toots), Augie, and Janet. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Morris, Vernice, Herman, and Clarence. Visitation will be held at Michelotti-Sawyers on Tuesday from 3-7 P.M. The funeral service will be 11 A.M. Wednesday at Gospel Baptist Church, 1246 Cook Ave., with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family thanks the doctors and nursing staff at Billings Clinic ICU for the wonderful care they gave Larry.
