Lawrence "Larry" O. Chouinard, 89, of Billings, died peacefully on Saturday, April 20, 2019.

Larry was born on Oct. 2, 1929, to Lawrence and Genevieve Chouinard in Anoka, Minnesota. Larry grew up in the Anoka area. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He attended St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota. Larry went on to serve in the United States Army during the Korean War. Larry was then united in marriage to Claire Studer on July 7, 1956, at St. Patrick Co-Cathedral in Billings.

Larry was employed with R.J. Studer and Sons Construction, Epcon Sign Company, and was an investor in the development of the Briarwood Golf Course. He was an active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish. He enjoyed spending time with numerous friends on the golf course, in the duck blinds, and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Genevieve Chouinard.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Claire (Studer) Chouinard of the home; two daughters, Laurie Morris and husband, John of Calumet, Oklahoma, and Ann Marie Chouinard of Billings; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Jane Nichols of Wayzata, Minnesota, and Joan Ripley and husband Ralph of Overland Park, Kansas. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Ralph and Cemie Studer of Billings; and many nieces and nephews.

Vigil will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Michelotti-Sawyer Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 26, at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, 2055 Woody Drive.

Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery following funeral.
