Lawrence J. Zika

Lawrence J. Zika, of Billings, was called to Heaven on Saturday, May 22, 2021.
Born April 18, 1933, to George and Caroline Zika, he grew up in Alexander, North Dakota, where he met and married his sweetheart, Rosella Mae Larson, on Nov. 23, 1956. Together, they traveled the greater Northern Plains region as he worked as a heavy equipment operator for road construction until they settled in Billings in the 1970s.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years; infants Ann and John; daughter Caroline; granddaughter Brittany; and sister Rosemary. He is survived by sons Joseph (Tina), Daniel (Leah); daughter Elizabeth; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 27, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave., with a mass at 10 a.m. Friday, May 28, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 2055 Woody Drive, followed by burial at 5 p.m. in Alexander, North Dakota.
