Leonard Leo Koziol, 86, passed away on June 29, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born in Greeley, Nebraska on January 11, 1933 to Francis and Victoria Koziol. He served in the Korean Conflict, and thereafter attended Wichita State College in Kansas. Upon graduation, Leonard worked in Denver, Colorado, where he met Denise Verbiest. He and Denise were married in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Stratton, Colorado on February 3, 1962.

They moved to Billings, Montana in January 1970, where Leonard was project engineer for the construction of the Billings Sewer Plant. Later, he formed and owned a manufacturer's representative agency for 18 years. Since 1994 he operated Leonard's Repair Service for homeowners and small commercial enterprises.

In later life, Leonard obtained his private pilot license and built a Wagero Piper two-passenger aircraft "from scratch" in his garage, which he proudly flew for more than eight years over Montana skies. Len also enjoyed family camping and fishing trips, and forty years of square dancing with Denise at the Hoedowner and 59er's square dance clubs.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Denise; children, Yvonne (Doug) Mullowney, Billings; Timothy Koziol, Spokane; and Renee Koziol, St. Paul; siblings, Mary (Don) Barry, San Antonio, TX; Jo Ann Fox, Omaha, NE; Jane (Joe) Tooley, Columbus, NE; and Robert Koziol, Mena, AR; and ten grandchildren. Leonard was preceded in death by his sons, Michael and Steven Koziol, and brothers Edward and James Koziol.

Services will be held at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Avenue, Billings MT on Friday, July 5, at 12:30pm with burial immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetery.
