Lila Rae Allen ‘Bunny’

Lila Rae Allen "Bunny," 86, of Billings, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on June 18, 2018.

Lila was born on March 13, 1932, in Hagerman, Idaho, to Roy and Florence Gridley. Her family made their life in California, where she met the love of her life, Paul Allen. The high school sweethearts were married in 1950 in Reno, Nevada, and, after living in Las Vegas for a while, moved to Billings to support Paul's golf career and raise their five children.

Bunny had a true passion for traveling the world and was fortunate to see the world throughout her life. She loved being involved with people and had many interests, including being a member of the infamous "Crazy Ladies," Audubon Society, Billings Symphony and Bridge Club. Bunny faithfully attended church and journaled daily her love for God and prayers for her family and friends. Those who knew Bunny knew her greatest blessings from God called her Grandma.

Bunny leaves behind her son, Ron Allen; daughters Paula (John) Dillon and Pam Allen; grandchildren Chad Michael (Rebecca) Dillon, Jared (Sarah) Dillon, Melissa (Justin) Jennings, Elizabeth (Ryan) Gage, Tom (Diane) Allen, Mimi (Andy) Salonen and Angela Watson; as well as 15 great-grandchildren. She has been reunited in heaven with Paul and her two sons, Howard and Mark.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service is being planned for July.
