Lillian Zagurski, 92, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, died peacefully November 2 in Laurel Montana. Born in Absarokee, MT to William and Annie DeVries (Brinkema), Lillian was the eldest of 6 children. After attending Billings Business College, Lillian achieved her first goal in life - "to see our nation's capital." During WWII Lillian worked at the Pentagon, but missed the Rocky Mountains. After 5 years in Washington, D.C., she moved to Denver, CO where she met her future husband, Theodore Zagurski. Lillian's second goal in life was to have a family and she and Ted married in 1948, relocated to Billings, MT and raised 3 children. Lillian was an active member in the GeoWives, taught Bridge and shared her love of quilting with many. Lillian is survived by her sons, Ted (Cheri), Gregory and daughter Christine (Tom); sisters Angeline, Florence and brother Richard; grandchildren Jason, TJ, Tristan, Mark and Kati and her cherished niece, Verdine. Burial service will be at Holy Cross Cemetery on Friday, November 6 at 10 a.m. and followed by a celebration of life at Roberts United Methodist Church in Roberts, Montana at 2pm. In lieu of Flowers, a memorial may be made to Billings Rocky Mountain Hospice.
