On Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021, Linda Latka Fields Teets passed away at Billings Clinic due to Covid, at age 68.

Linda Marie was born May 13, 1953, in Glendive, to Albert and Anna Geiger Latka. Linda attended Jefferson and Washington School, where she went to graduate from DCHS. Linda furthered her education by attending and graduating as an LPN from Sidney School of Practical Nursing.

Throughout her childhood. Linda was a member of the Bluebird group, local 4-H Chapter, spelling groups, and Home Ec, completing numerous projects, receiving pins and achievements. Linda had a love for animals and enjoyed helping her parents run the Poultry barn at Dawson County Fairgrounds.

Throughout Linda’s life she worked as an LPN in Tennessee; daycare provider in Gillette, Wyoming; Dr. Zuroff and Dr. Chambers’ office in Glendive; Rexall Drug and FMHA in Stanley, North Dakota. After 27 years of service, Linda retired from the Dept. of Interior/Hungry Horse Dam in Hungry Horse.

Linda had a love for cooking, sewing, knitting and crocheting. Linda also attended her children’s various activities, as well as her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s. Linda loved dancing, playing games, camping and fishing with family.

Linda is preceded in death by her father, Albert Simon Latka, and mother, Anna Barbara Geiger Latka.

Linda is survived by her spouse, Robert Teets of Kalispell; her sister, Donna Stanfill (Jim) of Glendive; her three children, Scott Fields of Stanley, North Dakota, Kristie Hinzman (Clint) of Columbia Falls, Jeff Fields of Kalispell; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

There will be a Celebration of Life/Potluck at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at Moose Lodge in Glendive.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, we ask that donations be made to Linda’s grandchildren’s local Kalispell FFA Chapter, 644 Fourth Ave. West, Kalispell, MT 59901 in Memorial of Linda Teets.
