Loretta Ann O'Connor, 78, of Billings died peacefully at Riverstone Hospice on Wednesday, Jan 25, 2012.

Loretta, known as Lori, was born in Chicago, IL, Jan. 5, 1934, daughter of Michael A (CPD) and Florence Mary O'Connor. She was the 5th of 6 children. Her mother and father were immigrants from Ireland. She was preceded in death by brothers John (Jack) O'Connor, Raymond O'Connor, William O'Connor and sisters Veronica (O'Connor) Parker and Mary O'Connor. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is survived by all of them and a sister-in-law, Peggy O'Connor.

She attended St. Timothy Grammar School in the Rogers Park Neighborhood in Chicago and completed high school at St. Scholastica Academy, Chicago and The Marywood School for Girls in Evanston, Illinois.

After her studies she had a long career in management with American Airlines and IBM, in Chicago. At American Airlines she was able to travel as an employee and visited the Bahamas and her beloved Ireland.

She was grounded in her Roman Catholic faith and was proud of her enrollment as a secular member of Discalced Carmelite Nuns. Her ordered name was Sister Therese Marie of the Holy Spirit.

A Catholic, Mass of the Resurrection will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday Jan. 28th at the St. Patrick's Co-Cathedral, with internment following at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to: Carmelite Monastery, 949 N. River Road, Des Plaines, IL.
