Lynn Carol Schinker Profile Photo

Lynn Carol Schinker was born Oct. 12, 1955, at Billings Deaconess Hospital, to Raymond F. and Carolyn (nee Shattuck) Schinker. She is now in heaven in her daddy's arms, watching over her family and friends, still the heart of the family. She was the oldest of five siblings and her favorite saying was "I'm your big sister and you have to do what I say," such as: "The news said it was slick out. You drive careful because I'm your big sister and you have to do what I say!"

Lynn's blessing of Down Syndrome kept everybody young at heart. It didn't stop her from living life to the fullest. She was very proud of living independently; being part of Growth thru Arts, YWCA and CORE; enjoyed fishing, swimming and bowling; winning numerous medals at Special Olympics; was married/divorced; and loved working in an office. Her joy was connecting with friends and family through holiday greeting cards. On every Valentine's Day, she would hand deliver over 75 special cards. One could always find Lynn being the volunteer social director!

Janet Tebay was a very special and dear friend from their childhood. A special thank you to you, Janet, for always being there for Lynn as her best friend of 55-plus years.

Lynn is preceded in death by her father, Ray Schinker; maternal and paternal grandparents.

Lynn is survived by her mother, Carolyn (Schinker) Grazley; siblings Steve Schinker, Paul Schinker, Tarra (Tim) Grazley-Pfister, all of Billings, and Tracy Grazley of Livingston; Uncle George Schinker of Omaha; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; and beloved fur babies Sara, Clancy and Annie. Right now, she is spoiling her heavenly fur babies, Lizzie, Chelsea and Ellie.

Viewing will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave. Rosary will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, with the funeral mass at 10 a.m., at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 2055 Woody Drive. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. A reception will be held at St. Thomas after the interment.

Lynn loved all animals, especially her dog Sara. Please send donations to your favorite animal rescue shelter in lieu of flowers.
