Marci M. Krohn, 49, of Billings, passed away on Aug. 29, 2016, after a short, courageous battle with cancer. Marci was born on July 30, 1967, in Glendive, the first daughter of Marvin and Martha Ulrich. She was raised and educated in Glendive and, following high school, she continued her education at Dawson Community College, Dickinson State University (BA in Music Education), Montana State University Billings (MA in Early Childhood Education) and University of Montana (MA in Early Childhood Special Education). Marci was a lifelong learner and, even outside of institutional education, she continued learning through workshops and special training sessions. Most recently, she was employed at Head Start, Inc., where she trained educators.
Marci married Rick Krohn in Glendive, on Jan. 24, 1987. They were blessed with two daughters, Brittany and Emma. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing anything and everything she could get her hands on.
She is survived by her husband Rick and daughters Brittany and Emma, all of Billings; parents Marvin and Martha Ulrich of Glendive; siblings Marty (Kathy) Ulrich of Glendive; Mike Ulrich of Billings (his children Sully and Scotty) and Mel (Nic Henke) Ulrich of Denver; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park. Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave., and at Mt. Olive prior to services Thursday.
