Margery Christensen, age 92, passed away on Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, at Sweetwater Retirement Community of Billings.
Margery was born on Sept. 11, 1925, to Albert Helgeson and Mabel (Nelson) Helgeson in Taylor, North Dakota. She married Duane Christensen on June 4, 1943. They spent the early years of their marriage in Taylor and moved to Billings in 1956, where they spent the rest of their days.
Mom joined Shaklee in 1974. She always enjoyed helping people and, with Shaklee, she had that opportunity. Visiting with her family, friends and newfound friends about the Shaklee products and how natural products can benefit our health. As the years went on, Dad became more involved and together they build a nice team of business associates and client. They earned several trips and were able to travel to places they probably would have never been able to visit.
Mom and Dad took a lot of trips to Dickinson, North Dakota, to visit friends and family, including Mom's parents. They also did a lot of camping in the Nye area.
In November 2008, Mom moved to Sweetwater Retirement, where she lived out the rest of her years. It was her home and she loved all of the staff and residents. She always liked helping people there as well. It was there where she met John Marlow. He moved to Sweetwater a month after she did. John had health issues so this gave her another opportunity to be a helpful companion for him.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001; parents, Albert and Mabel Helgeson; her son Denver; sisters Alicemae Sattler and Lorraine; and brother-in-law Marvin Moos.
She is survived by daughter Charlene (Dale) Zaske, and their family, Linette (Mike) Wetch, Jeff Zaske (Susan), Doug Zaske (Daina); daughter Lynda (Dexter) Eaton, and their family Dex (Jacque) Eaton, Collette (Shane) Johnson, Tanya, (Jeff Kirby); son Kean (Deb) Christensen, and their family Sarah (Seth) Monahan, Kean (KC and Jenna), Kam (Melissa), Kody (Zac); daughter-in-law, Cindy Christensen and family, Kim (Rod) Kent, Lisa (Alan) Heimback, Shelly (Jeff) Mrachek; 28 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by brothers-in-law, Harlow (Tena) Christensen and Vic Sattler; and her special Friend, John Marlow.
Thank you to the team at Sweetwater who have been so supportive over the nine years.
