Margery Nye Gordon Profile Photo

On June 27th, Margery Nye Gordon left us to join the Lord in paradise. She fought the battle of cancer twice and now claims that body free from pain. She was greeted by her husband Jack; daughter, Lynn Peters; sister, Nona Cooper; and her parents, Paul and Leila Nye.

Margery was born on August 9, 1921. She attended school in Billings, graduating from Billings High School. In 1939 she was married to Jack S. Gordon in Billings.

She leaves behind her three sons, Richard (Toshie) Gordon of Corvallis, OR, and grandchildren Tei and Kana of Tokyo, Japan; Robert (Mary) Gordon of Issaquah, WA and grandchildren Luke and Mariah Klemens; and Dana (Shelley) Gordon of Boise, ID and grandson, Alex; son-in-law, David Peters and grandchildren Penny Campbell (great-grandchildren Alexis and Maxwell), Erika Peters, and Brant (Sarah) Peters (great-granddaughter, Qwendolyn) of Columbus, OH. She also leaves her sister and brother-in-law Nancy and John Heine, who were also dear friends.

Margery has many characteristics you look for. She has been a faithful wife, devoted mother, supportive business partner, and a gracious hostess who has shared many wonderful meals around a table. She has appreciated the beauty all around her, from the gardens that wrapped her home to the mountains that stand guard in Montana. She was a lover of knowledge, gifted artist, determined family historian, and a friend. She took care of many of her mother's friends as they became frail. She loved to travel with her husband, spend time with family, and organized herself and everyone around her. She has been a member of the Chapter E PEO and the First Congregational Church.

Entrust her with many duties because she didn't sit well, she liked to be busy. Give her a paintbrush and paints to capture heavenly things. She will love the children, listen and visit, and she will organize anything that needs be done. Margery left many gifts of art, but we give you Lord only oneā€¦ Margery.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 9:30 a.m., on Saturday, July 15, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Cookies and coffee will follow the service, with burial of cremated remains at Mountview Cemetery.
