Marilyn Lavonne Pearson was gifted by God to her parents Edwin and Evelyn Reberk on August 17, 1930 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She had a change of address to heaven the morning of November 10, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.
Marilyn grew up in St. Paul and married Paul Peason on September 17, 1949. In 1955, Paul's job took the young family to the wild west of Billings, Montana. They raised three daughters, Linda Whitmore (Neal), Pam Keebler (Les) and Paula Corson (Ross).
Marilyn was an avid cook and seamstress. She was always trying a new recipe and sewed our school clothes on up, to our wedding dresses and bridesmaids’ dresses. She worked for Plaza West Dental and was later an assistant manager at House of Fabrics. The two best jobs though, were reading for Pam's classes at Billings Christian School and sewing dolls and stuffed animals for the BCS auctions. In her later years, she helped Paula with taking care of her grandkids.
When the time came that she could no longer live with family, she moved to Morningstar Senior Living and then most recently transferred into the Hansen Cottage on the St. John's campus. Her very dear friend of over 60 years was her neighbor at Morningstar. Marilyn had the gift of being able to bloom where she was planted. She made many friends at Morningstar and at the Cottage. Often we would find her in her chair, facing the light of her window, head bowed and praying for family, friends, and anyone the Lord put on her heart.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Arlan, sister Sharon and her husband of 65 years, Paul.
She adored her grandchildren Neal (Alisa), Allen (Miyoshi), Jenny, Kristi (Mike), Angie (Matt), Jill (Alex), Jordan (Caitlin), Nicole (Paul), and Michael (Sofia). She has fifteen great grandchildren, a dear niece, and four nephews.
A sincere thank you to the doctors, nurses, and CNA's at Intermountain Health. Special thanks to Bri Anna, Star, Erica, and Shelly. We are grateful for the hardworking CNA's at Morningstar. Extra thanks to Shawna and Marilyn's beloved pastor Patang at Hansen Cottage.
A celebration of Marilyn's life will be Friday, November 22, 2024 at 10:30 am at Faith Chapel, 517 Shiloh Road (North Entrance off Broadwater), in Billings.
Memorials may be given to Billings Christian School, 1515 Shiloh Road, Billings, MT, 59106.
