Forever our princess, Marissa Rae Mohland passed away at home in the arms of her loving mother and surrounded by family, on February 13, 2006. Throughout her eighteen month battle with Neuroblastoma, Marissa Rae had a profound, unforgettable effect on many hearts and souls in every medical facility she attended. Her unbelievable strength and courage will never be equaled.

In her six and a half years, Marissa touched the hearts of countless others with her speedy wit, her unselfish love, and her thoughtful caring demeanor. She loved to model and dance for her family, she loved to play theatre, and dress up and playing princess were her favorite pastimes.

Marissa Rae was also an excellent student and an accomplished crafter. She especially enjoyed coloring, spin art, jewelry making, scrapbooking, and making crafts for all holidays. Marissa always gave her handmade crafts to everyone she loved. She always looked forward to the next family holiday, where she gathered with cousins, aunts and uncles and grandma to work on the latest projects.

Marissa, a self-taught genius, never lost sight of her number one project, her little sister and best friend, Katherine Elizabeth. She mothered, taught, and loved Katherine every day, molding a truly special character.

Marissa Rae Mohland, born on August 5, 1999 was preceded in death by her great-grandmother Violet Kruger, and Grandpa and Grandma, John and Dorothy Mohland.
