Marsha Terry Selwyn, 74, passed away on March 8, 2017, at St. John's Nursing Home. Marsha was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on June 2, 1942, to Rose and Louis Nodler. She graduated from Erasmus Hall High School in 1960 and married Jeff Selwyn in 1965. Inspired by the TV series "Little House on the Prairie," they moved from Long Island, N.Y., to Billings in 1978.
Marsha and Jeff divorced in 1988 and she remained in Billings and attended Eastern Montana College from 1989 to 1991. She enjoyed comparing herself to the Unsinkable Molly Brown, which to those who knew her, was a perfect comparison. Challenged in health, Marsha's positive attitude and adventurous spirit allowed her to enjoy many activities and lifelong friendships.
Marsha is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Russ and Susanne Selwyn of Las Vegas, and Reed and Lori Selwyn of Albuquerque, N.M.; seven beautiful grandchildren; her sister, Carol Davis of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and two nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, March 12, at Beth Aaron Cemetery. Arrangements are by Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. The family would like to specially thank St. John's Lutheran Ministries for their nurturing environment and compassionate care. Donations to St. John's are welcomed.
