Chuck Doornek, 69, passed away at Billings Clinic Hospital on Sunday, 24 December 2006 after a long illness. Chuck was born May 21, 1937 to Joseph and Clara Doornek in Wolf Point, Montana. He attended school in Wolf Point and started working in the oil fields at 16 years of age. He was in the U.S. Navy for 4 ½ years and returned to the oil fields as a Oil Rig Supervisor at Molen Drilling Company and retired at age 62.
Chuck enjoyed a good game of cards, loved to golf, worked cross word puzzles and took his bulldog for walks. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Elks.
He married Ardis Welzenbach on November 13, 1962 in Wolf Point, Montana.
He is survived by his wife, Ardis, two sons and one daughter; Joseph (Rhonda), Forney, TX; Martin (Angela), Billings, MT; and Marie Anderson, New Hope, PA., and five grandchildren, two brothers and one sister.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers,.
Funeral services will be 10:00am Friday, December 29th at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Avenue, Billings, Montana, Father John Houlihan presiding. Following cremation, interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
