Marvelle Jean Roks

Marvelle Jean Roks, 69, of Billings, passed away on Oct. 16, 2023, at TenderNest Memory Care.

Marvelle is preceded in death by her parents, Aldon and Reta Lee; and her brother, Keith Lee. She is survived by her brothers, Ken Lee and Curtis (Stephanie) Lee of Billings; her dear friends Jerilyn Grendahl and Barbara Bryan of Billings, and Zarren Pasma of Perris, California; as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Marvelle was born on Jan. 14, 1954, in Wolf Point, the first child and only daughter of Aldon and Reta Lee. Marvelle graduated from Wolf Point High School in 1972. She went on to study at Eastern Montana College, getting her degree in Vocational Rehab, and then attended nursing school at Northern Montana College. There, she earned her RN degree. After graduating in 1980, Marvelle worked for many years in the Intensive Care Unit at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, Washington. She moved to Temecula, California, and worked at Palomar Health in Escondido as an ICU charge nurse until she retired in 2017.

She will be remembered for her contagious laugh, generosity, big smile and heart. Marvelle returned to Montana the last four years of her life to be closer to family and friends. Marvelle was most content when surrounded by the people she loved. She was the best daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend anyone could ask for. She will be missed dearly.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Lutheran Church in Wolf Point, where she enjoyed Luther League and Young Persuaders. A private family service is anticipated at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary.
