Marvin Presser

Marvin Presser was born in Fort Peck, Montana to Frank and Esther on April 19th, 1939 and passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family in Billings, Montana on December 18th, 2015 from complications of a stroke after hip surgery.

Marvin was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved animals and some of his favorite moments were spent surrounded by his dogs in the garage at the Fort Peck cabin. He passed on his love for animals to many of his children and grandchildren.

He had many talents, including writing, carpentry, storytelling, and handling the Eggebrecht girls. He had a passion for history and published a book on the history of Wolf Point and the surrounding area. He was currently working on a second book about early Wolf Point basketball.

He had an amazing sense of civic pride and was involved in many successful businesses and organizations including High Plains Motors (GM dealership), Western Bank and KVCK radio station. He tirelessly promoted the place he called home through organizations such as Lions Club, Elks Club, W.P. Chamber of Commerce, the City of Wolf Point and contributed his time and talents to numerous other organizations and projects.

Marvin married Kay Eggebrecht on July 8th, 1957 in Wolf Point. He is survived by Kay and his brother Butch, his animals Dakota, Molly, Benji, Max, Brandy, Shorty and a couple of kids and several grandchildren.

Marvin was preceded in death by his sisters Cheryl and Joyce; brothers Franklin and Lyle; his parents Frank and Esther; pets shorty, Fritz, Wolfgang, Emma Kay, Emmy Lou, Billy Bob, Maggie, Barney, Bozo, and numerous puddy cats.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in honor of Marvin to the W.P. gym floor replacement project (payable to WPHS) or the W.P. Pound Puppies. Please send both to High Plains Motors, 331 Front Street, Wolf Point, MT 59201. At his request no services will be held. Cremation has taken place.
