Mary Louise Becklen
March 21, 1924 — May 23, 2021
Mary Louise Becklen, 97, passed away early morning on May 23, 2021. Mary was born in Cameron, Missouri, on March 21, 1924. She was born to Harvey and Anna Mae Baker.
Mary graduated from Powell High School in 1942. She then moved to Washington, D.C., and worked for a bank. In 1946, she moved back to Powell, Wyoming, and worked for the federal government in the Bureau of Reclamation division. This is where she met the love of her life, William F. Becklen "Becky." On Dec. 20, 1958, she and Becky were joined in marriage and they were married for 34 wonderful years.
Mary was an active member of the Church of Christ. She also enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens, fishing, camping and crafts.
Mary is preceded in death by her late husband, Becky; both her parents; her brothers, Dean and Wayne; and sisters Vera, Ruth and Lois. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jun 1, at the Church of Christ, 1002 Alderson Ave. Graveside services will be held at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Powell at 3:30 p.m.
