Mary Galloway Profile Photo

Mary Galloway, 94, passed happily into God's arms on Palm Sunday, March 25, 2018.

Mom had a long, interesting life beginning in Havelock, Nebraska, where she was born on May 6, 1923, to Swedish parents Edwin and Amanda Lindquist. She was their sixth child and her father claimed she kept him out of the war. Her parents passed away while she was young and her sister, Ollie "Toots" and her husband Bud Hammond raised her with their daughter Bobbi.

At 18, she was given a one-way train ticket to Chicago, where she met and married Winfield Vaughn. They had two children, Wynn and Melinda, and set up home in Des Plaines, Illinois, until Winfield's passing.

She then married Tom Galloway, living in Wisconsin, Colorado and Billings.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Ollie Helen and Thelma; her brothers Harry, Willie; her niece Bobbie; and husbands Winfield Vaughn and Tom Galloway.

Left to miss her are her son Wynn and daughter Melinda and Joyce (Ron); grandchildren Kristina (Cliff), Lisa and Kim (Robert); great-grandchildren Mandy, J.T., Mel, May, T.J. and Pee Joe; also great-great-granddaughter Carolyn.

Mary loved to travel and had a habit of pointing her husbands in the wrong direction. She's found her way home now.

Per her request, no services are planned.

Thank you to Billings Clinic and Aspen Meadows for making Mom laugh.
