Mary Lynne (Schruth) Garlock passed away on Dec. 2, 2016, after a seven-year battle with lung cancer.
Mary Lynne was born on Sept. 17, 1942, in Billings, the daughter of John and Ann Schruth. Mary Lynn attended Kate Fratt Catholic School and Billings Central High School, graduating in June 1960. Mary Lynne attended Seattle University and Eastern Montana College. She worked for Continental Oil Marketing, Sears Credit Department and the Billings Catholic Schools as a secretary, retiring from St. Francis Intermediate School in 2006 after 19 years. Mary Lynne's most cherished memories were the family trips to Silver Gate, the trip to the Black Hills; and her fondest memories were the vacations to Whitefish Lake with her whole family.
Mary Lynne married Gary Garlock on June 19, 1965, celebrating 51 years of marriage this past June. To this marriage were born two children: Todd and Kristen. Mary Lynne was a loving, devoted mother, wife, sister and grandmother.
Mary Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ann. Mary Lynne is survived by her husband, Gary; her son, Todd (Beka); daughter Kristen (Kevin Brook); brother Mike Schruth, Pat Schruth, Tim Schruth (Kathy); granddaughters Alessia, Madison and Alyssa, whom she loved very much; and also numerous nieces and nephews who were all very special to her.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at St. Pius X Church, 717 18th St. West, Billings.
