She attended schools in Billings, graduating from Senior High in 1939. Following high school, Mary worked for the Yellowstone County Treasurers Office.
On August 4, 1945, Mary was united in marriage to Howard L. Johnson, while he was on leave from the military. Together they resided in Billings where they started their family.
Mary was a true gardener. Her love for flowers was obvious by the sight of her beautiful gardens. She was an active member at the St. Patrick's Co-Cathedral, including church circles. She and Howard were also supportive in the building and remodel projects there. Mary had a wonderful sense of humor and a real love for life.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff of Diamond Willow Home and Rocky Mountain Hospice for their tender loving care of Mary.
